Thought I would post some pictures of my favourite new hobby, baking!!!! I love baking at the moment particularly cupcakes and anything I can decorate in a fancy manor lol. So baking is the reason I have not had so much for my card making etc....

I have a huge stash of cake decorations so its just like crafting,highly addictive. but unfortunately much more fattening lol.

Just a quick post to welcome my blog into 2012!!! Hope all my fellow bloggers had a great Christmas and New Year!!!!

I have not done much papercrafts of late, my other hobby baking has taken over a bit lately, especially with lots of Christmas gifts to make. However today I had some spare time and enjoyed making this card for a friends birthday which is coming up. I am really loving the stamping up "Button Buddies" set at the moment. You can produce some really nice fun, simple cards with this set, even when time is not on your side!!!!! Looking forward to some blog hopping now ;)

I have used the "Creativley Yours" stamp set to make a set of gift tags,I have included some ribbon & raffia so they can be tied on. I loved this set, thought it would be a perfect way to label all those baked gifts I intend to do for Christmas!!!!!

Just a quick post as I have not updated my blog for ages,been busy with Amber's 1st birthday and returning to work. There never seems enough hours in the day recently. This weekend we payed a visit to the Hobbycraft store over at Woking,it has a huge selection of goodies, although the prices are not very competitive. I fell in love with these Sizzix heart dies and couldn't resist the patterned felt to use with them . I thought I would use them to make Hubby's anniversary card for Friday.

Today's card is for another week at the "LIM" challenge blog. The theme this week is "Fruit" a nice summery challenge. I hope there is enough white space on my card this week, as I don't want my entry deleted!!!!

I think its good to make sure the rules of the challenge are adhered to thou, as there are plenty of non CAS card challenges people can enter if they choose.However there are definitely less challenges for those of us who prefer simple design!!!

Well we are chilling out this weekend in the garden, as its my last weekend off before returning to work following my maternity leave (boo hoo!!!)

I made this card yesterday with some SU stamps and card stock. I am pleased with the simplicity of it and wanted to record it on my blog. I am loving the clean and simple style of late, and these seem to be the style of cards I enjoy making at the moment. The nice thing is they are quicker to make, so I get two or three done in an evening!!!!

New Home!

Hello everyone in Blogland,hope you are all well and enjoying your crafting. I am at last back for another of my infrequent posts!!! Well I had a bit of spare time last night so I decided to make a "New Home" card for some friends and incorporate it in to the "less is more" challenge, which is circles this week.

I used a Hampton Arts stamp "collectables" for the image and used a combination of paper peicing and colouring. The card was finished with SU grosgrain ribbon and a punched button flower. Less is definatley more!!!!

Today's short post is my first entry for the "Clean and simple stamping" challenge. I stumbled on this challenge blog when blog hopping and am very glad I did. I love the simple but effective sketches and the fact that it doesn't need to take hours to complete a challenge. I used lime green card stock and a funky cupcake stamped image for maximum effect!!!! I really enjoy there sketches, so as I don't have much crafting time this tends to be the challenge I enter first!

I wanted quite a clean and simple card as its for my Dad's birthday. I thought the natural colours and simple "stampin up" image work well for men's cards.

Today's post is my entry for the "sweet sketch Wednesday challenge", I love this clean and simple sketch!

This card is a Mothers Day card for my Mother in law,I hope she likes it. I used some paper and toppers from the "Making Cards" magazine. I really like the Art Deco look ;) I don't but many craft magazines anymore as they don't seem to teach you much when you have been doing it a while. I still love "Making Cards" and "Craft stamper" thou.

Today's post is a card I have made for the "spoon full of sugar" challenge blog,where this weeks theme is "vintage/shabby chic". I thought these Kraft card blanks would be perfect for a shabby chic feel. I love them at the moment!!! This card is for a good friend of mine who is famed for being late, so hopefully it will make her smile. My new Neatnix tool box organiser arrived today. I loaded it up with supplies from the shed and have been crafting in the house for a change. Mum brought it for my Birthday next week and its fab, brown and pink polka dots!!!! Back at last with a card made for my friends 30Th Birthday at the weekend! I have not had much time of late for crafting, been busy getting nursery ready for the new arrival in August. We are pretty much done now and with an ever growing list of cards to do I thought I'd best get on with some crafting. I made this card with those gorgeous papers from the Henbury range and my new Martha Stewart flower punch. I am really pleased with these punches they cut through card like butter! Today is my first post for ages been busy this month celebrating my 30th Birthday & Zack's 3rd Birthday!!!! As well as a few other hectic events!

I had a lovley Birthday day out in Windsor on Sunday with my girlfriends, we had a huge afternoon tea at the Castle hotel, very posh!

Then yestaday at our twenty week scan we had the fab news that Zack will be having a little Sister to play with in August! I am so excited and can't wait to get some cute dresses.

I have posted a couple of cards I made recently. I will try and get back to doing some of the challenges soon. I just seem to enjoy making what I want to make at the moment lol!!!

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year and are still enjoying the snow! We had a great Christmas & New Year and have just returned from a fab holiday in Disneyland Paris. We couldn't believe how much snow we have had,Zack was so excited to see the garden covered in snow when we returned yesterday! Today I couldn't wait to get crafting once I put my washing on lol. I have packed up my Christmas craft stash and am keen to get into some Spring crafting! Today's card is another for the Christmas box as I've got some catching up to do! I had a sudden need to do a bit of crafting tonight & I enjoyed making this one. This card is also my entry for two challenges this week. The theme was something new or neglected on your card this week on "Creative inspirations". My border punch is my neglected item as I love it but don't use it as much as I should. My new item is the FF stamp which was free with the new issue of "Creativity" magazine. On the promarkers blog the challenge this week was to use this fab sketch with any of your promarkers. My FF image has been coloured with saffron & sandstone.

I love doing recipes as they are a bit more creative than a sketch. Recently I have not been so keen on doing all the sketch challenges,its nice to have a bit more input. Particularly as I love the simpler,fresher card layouts. Quick post today as we are off to a friends house for lunch & then I have toddler group craft to prepare this afternoon! I have made this card for a friends birthday next week. The card is also my entry for the "3 clovers" challenge blog,this is the first time I've entered this one. I have used Marshmallow from "Daisy & Dandelion" stamp set. Coloured with Promarkers, I have got a few of the new shades which are very pretty. I have not used any Tilda's for ages and I had forgot what a joy to colour they are!!! I must make more use of them, instead of buying more new stamps!!!!! Today's card is my Brothers 21st birthday card,he is a fishing fan as you can guess! The Daisy & Dandelion stamp was coloured with Promarkers & I also hand stamped the back round. I am enjoying being a bit more creative again with my stamping,instead of just using printed papers all the time. Hello,sorry I have not posted much this week. I have not had as much time to craft this week as I would have hoped,despite me having another week off work!

Today's cards are a selection of Christmas cards I have made,not for any challenges, just what I wanted to make. I think have been following too many sketches recently, as I really enjoyed doing what I want for a change.

Got a busy weekend which hopefully includes a trip to Gunwarf so I can restock at Papermill. My two boxes of thick white card have lasted a whole year!

Today's card is for the Housemouse challenge blog,the theme this week was a song title inspired card. My song is "Sunflowers" by the amazing Frank Sinatra! a not so well known Sinatra song,but a classic track with beautiful lyrics. Today's card is another Christmas card for the box.I seem to be enjoying making them at the moment! Last year they felt like such a chore,perhaps its because I am making them slowly throughout the year,less pressure lol. The sketch is from the "Just Christmas & Birthdays" challenge blog, I just simplified the sketch a bit. I am really enjoying simpler card layouts at the moment. I have been avoiding craft day today on QVC . I always end up ordering stuff I don't really need if I watch it too much. Instead I went online this morning and looked through all the days products,and selected what I do need. I have ordered a couple as a pay day treat!

The Prima flower kit(as it was such good value), also couldn't resist the Coredinations black magic card pack. I think this card looks fab when embossed & sanded with CB embossing folders.

Hope to get out in the craft shed tonight as I am working tomorrow night, can't complain its my last shift before I get 3 weeks off,yipee!!!!!

Dotty about men!

Today I have at last managed to make a couple of much needed male cards. I don't make as many male cards so am running very low on them!

Today I made a visit to the craft shop and treated myself to a few items, one of which was a "Daisy & Dandelion" teddy fishing stamp. Hopefully this will give me the incentive to make a few more male cards!

I also brought a few more reels of Grosgrain ribbon to go on my new ribbon rack, some textured snow paste(for my Xmas cards). The snakeskin Cuttlebug embossing folder also jumped into my basket!

Back to today's post. These cards are also my entry for the "creative inspirations" challenge blog,the theme this week is dots & circles. I thought Footballer Edwin would be perfect along with the Swiss dots embossing folder!

Today's card is another Christmas card made with the free stamp from "Creativity" magazine. I Haven't seen any sketches I like this week on the challenge blogs so it was great to just do what I fancied!

I have researched some nice simpler layouts recently, I defiantly think less is more with my cards!

This weekend I have been making good progress in the craft shed, a friend kindly built me a new wall mounted ribbon rack! I am very pleased with it,just need a few more reels to make it look less empty ;)

I also had a good clean out and hoover, with a little help from Zack!!!!

Today's card is a 1st Birthday card for my friends little girl, she will be one in August. I have used the sketch from "sweet sketch Wednesday", I like there sketches as they are simple & not too cluttered! Papermania card blank, wrapping papers used for backing papers. Papernation fairy coloured with promarkers and mounted with Nesties(labels2). Stamped greeting,paper lace and stickers to embellish!. I got lots of lovely stickers in Accessorize at the weekend, nicer than any I have seen in the craft shop and 75p a sheet in the sale! I never noticed there crafty bits & bobs before! So you will be seeing lots of girly stickers on my cards for a while I am sure ! xxx

Today's card is a Christmas card made with the Promarkers challenge blog in mind. This week the colours are Poppy & Moss, a lovely combination to work with & perfect for Christmas!

Coredinations cardstock & Imaginessence double sided paper (have to get more of this,love it) provide the back round. Circular greeting from Cuddly Buddly. Lace and flowers (made with Nesties Dahlia dies) to embellish.

Tilda coloured of course with wonderful Promarkers!!!

Today's card is a birthday card for Mum,using the sketch from "sweet sketch wednesday". This is the first time Ive entered this challenge but I couldn't resist this fab sketch!

Main bulk of card made using Coredinations cardstock & DCWV paper backing. CB embossed panel & die-cut letters. Lace I brought from my local fabric shop & Papermania flowers & gems to embellish. I am quite pleased with the overall effect as its a bit different for me having no stamped image!!!!

Today's card is one I made for the PB challenge,this week it was a fab sketch designed by Nat. I couldn't wait to do this one as yesterday I brought this gorgeous new stamp from my local craft shop,its called "cheesecake dreams". I was also lucky enough to pick up a new FF stamp and some Christmas papers & co-ordinating Coredinations card stock for my Christmas cards. I am doing well with my goal of making a couple a week! Image coloured with Promarkers, backing paper is Anna Griffin,ribbon & flowers to embellish. I used glitter glue for flower centers as a change from gems. Hope you are enjoying the weather. We spent yesterday in the garden with the paddling pool then we had a lovely BBQ. Today we went to Birdworld with some friends,us & the kids had great fun! xxx

Today's card is my entry for the Penny Black challenge,this week the theme was embossing. I decided to make a large card as I have only have small square ones left in my stand!

I forgot how much I like the larger cards,so you will be seeing a few more of them soon. I used "Froggy" stamped image coloured with Promarkers. The paper is spring burst from Papermania,greeting is a letraset rub-on. The corners have been hand embossed with flourishes, flowers & gems to embellish.

This is my card for the Promarkers weekly challenge,the colours this week were "Lemon & Meadow Green". I love these spring colours and found this challenge a lot easier than last week.

I cheated a bit with last week as I found the colours both too dark,maybe that's why I didn't get any comments from the DT(naughty girl lol!).

Today's card is made with the "Promarkers challenge blog" in mind. This weeks colours are Cinnamon & Pumpkin. I like the idea of this challenge blog as it is very slowly & afford ably expanding my collection of Promarkers!!!

The paper is "Hopscotch" from K&CO, buttons & torn card stock to add a more manly feel! I was brave & stamped greeting direct on to the card & highlighted with Pumpkin Promarker.

I used : FF decoupage kit, Papermania vellum, Prima flower, peel off greeting, Gem stone, Lilac Papermania scallop card & Lilac ribbon. I hope you are having a good week. Natalie has done a fab sketch this week,and as always I adapted it to meet my needs!

Back at last

We had a fab holiday in Devon but came back to find the PC has died,so I am without my scanner

(hence the poor pictures).

I have made an Asian inspired card using handmade papers,inkainkadoo stamped lizard & beads to embellish.

I am trying to make an effort to get more variety with my cards,i am quite pleased with the textured feel & bright colours!

Well I can't believe another month has flown by with no time for crafting or blogging!!! I have started training for my run as well as going down the gym. So this combined with all the usual work & family activities has taken all my time!!!! I am on holiday next week in Devon & plan to do some serious crafting in the evenings. I used my new PB "garden friends" clear stamp set (so many lovely stamps in this set!). Coloured Bunny with promarkers,mounted on to Anna Griffin paper,embellished with butterfly confetti & organza ribbon.

I must be on a role this week as I have already managed 3 posts this week,that's unheard of lol!!!

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This is my entry for the sketch Saturday challenge. I used a free stamp for the love birds & water coloured with h2o's for a nice shimmer. K & co backing paper and Prima flowers add interest.

Swirls border has been layered on to organza ribbon. The card didn't scan to well but looks nice in reality.

Spring in the air!!!!

The above card is my entry for The "CCT" challenge,this week the theme was citrus colours. I love bright colours so this was a dream for me and lent itself very nicely to an Easter card. Stamped image by Funstamps & was coloured with Promarkers. Cuttlebug embossed card with stickers,brads, Prima flower to embellish.

This card I made for my Dad's birthday next week, I used paper from old packaging as I loved the colours & pattern. Penny Black stamped images are used frequently in my men's cards. The greeting was Die-cut. I am looking forward to catching up with your blogs at the weekend.

Fab times!!!!!

Good morning everyone,what a gorgeous sunny start to the week!!! I have had a fab Birthday & Mothers day this weekend, and was very spoilt!!!

I just had time to do a card for the "sketch Saturday challenge", this weeks sketch is lovely.

I used handmade papers cut with my nesties,I have been meaning to use more handmade papers on my cards as I have loads I never use. I am really pleased with the result,they add texture & dimension. I am sure you will be seeing them a lot more now!!!!

I got given a stack of "rubber stamper" magazines from a friend of Mum's this week. I am really enjoying them and they are inspiring me to try lots of different techniques & styles.

CCT Sketch !!!!

This is my entry for this weeks CCT challenge, I really enjoyed using this sketch and will definitely be using this one again. I used some free stickers I got from a magazine for the image & greeting. Tag was then mounted on to Anna Griffin papers, buttons & flower to embellish. I also received my new personalised stamp today,it looks quite professional when stamped on the reverse of the cards & envelopes.

Hope you have a great week,I have hopefully got a bit more time for crafting this week as I am off work. Aim to do a bit of blog hopping tomorrow!!!!!

Back at last! with SS challenge

Such a busy time of it that this is my first post for nearly a month!!!!!

This is my entry for this weeks sketch Saturday challenge. I decided to use an embossed image for the centerpiece instead of my usual stamped one. I am pleasantly surprised with the finished effect.

This is my entry for the Penny Black challenge this week. The sketch was good fun and I decided to use it as an opportunity to use up all my scraps!!!!

Image was coloured with Promarkers & mounted on to various off cuts of paper. Then embellished with Fimo buttons and eyelets for a shabby chic feel!!!!

I am making this a short post as I am off to dinner for Hubby's B'day!
